Author Visits throughout the year
The library sponsors local authors as often as possible. We love to showcase authors who are self-published too. If you have something to share with the public, contact the library and let us know. We would be happy to have an author talk and signing for you!
Seed Library
By making a wide variety of seeds available to local gardeners, we believe we can contribute to greater self-sufficiency, sustainability and well-being for our community. With the current quantity of seeds available we ask that you limit your choices to those seeds you will actually use. We stock up our seed packets all Spring. You may also take a portion of seeds from a packet. Small plastic bags are provided for you to take home what you think you can use.
We have provided a check-out sheet for you to fill in that will help us track the seed distribution, and count how many packets have been taken. Our goal is to develop hardy acclimated seeds for this area, and so we ask that whenever possible at the end of the growing season, you please gather and return any seeds that may have been produced from your starters.
The seed library is put up in early Spring and taken down in the middle of the Summer. We accept donations of money to help us purchase packets, and we accept any seeds you harvested and wish to donate.
